The purpose of this course is to introduce you to the concepts, key factors, and methods that are used in the study of international relations and world politics. The course is also designed to introduce to you the issues in world politics that impact our nation and the world in which we live. We will compare the global perspectives of our nation and others in order to determine the impact of national foreign policies in the international system. You are encouraged to become involved in class discussions. COURSE REQUIREMENTS: There will be two tests each worth 25%. You will also be responsible for a research paper(30%), on a relevant topic, and an in-class presentation worth 20% of your grade. |
