 Spring 1990: Worked as a Faculty Fellow in the Office of the Vice President for Academic  Affairs.  In this capacity I:
                          ‑worked on revising the Faculty Handbook
                      ‑designed a Faculty Fellow program for future participants
                          ‑queried issues such as the budget, academic planning, etc.

November 1989:   Presented paper at the Northeast Political Science Association Conference,   Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, "The American Executive and Nuclear Nonproliferation Policy".              

Summer 1989: Attended the Yale Summer Institute's program on the of Teaching of Africa,  
July 10-14, 1989.

Fall 1988: Participant in "The Women's Conference," sponsored by The Permanent Commission on the Status of  Hartford Women. Presented research on Sexism and Classism: Process, Dynamics and Impact on March 29.

Organized a lecture series on Africa.  The lecture series was the result of a  grant proposal that I wrote and submitted to the International Affairs Center, CCSU, Center for Excellence.

1987:   Organized and Moderated a Symposium on South Africa.                             
-  Moderator for a panel on 'The Media and Ethics', sponsored by the Institute of Practical Politics, CCSU.
- Guest speaker, WGAB radio program on South Africa.
- Moderator for panel discussion on Black American  History, in celebration of  Black History month, CCSU.
