COURSE OUTLINE
This course will cover American national
politics, both public and private. During the course of the term, we will cover
the following subjects:

- The Declaration of Independence
- The Articles of Confederation
- The Constitution of the United States
- National Governmental Structures
- Congress [B&P:11; Notes]
- The Presidency [B&P:12]
- The Judiciary [B&P:14]
- The Bureaucracy [B&P:13]
- The Media [B&P:10]
- Corporations and their Relationship to National Politics [Notes]
- Current Political Issues [Readings in American Government ]
Students' performances in the course will be based on three
exams, as well as on class participation.
Dr. Triebwasser's office is located in Room 010 in the
basement of DiLoreto Hall. His office hours are from 12:30 to 2:00
and from 4:00 to 5:00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays; and by appointment. If you
cannot meet with Dr. Triebwasser during his scheduled office hours, do not
